My name is Mnelisi Mbonani, and I’m a web developer with a diverse set of skills and experience. Currently, I work as a Full Stack Software Developer at Harambee, where I’ve been an integral part of developing and enhancing the SAYouth Partner Portal.


The SAYouth Partner Portal (partners.sayouth.org.za) is a platform designed to help employers connect with young talent. This platform serves as a bridge between employers and approximately 4 million unemployed youth profiles. SAYouth was recently honored as the national pathway manager for unemployed youth by the president.

Before my current role, I completed a Software Developer Internship at Digilink, where I co-developed a File Management System for securely storing hospital records in the cloud. This project sharpened my skills in database design, API development, and client-side implementation, while also giving me valuable experience working in an Agile environment using tools like GitHub and Jira

A Console Application that's imports data:
I developed a database file and a console application that imports data from two Excel spreadsheets and inserts it into two separate tables.

A Web App(ASP.NET CORE and MS SQL):
This web application capture a student first name, Gender, date of birth, home address and subjects enrolled.
The data is stored in a ms sql database and displayed in a grid which allows the user to either edit or delete existing records.

Older

A Cross Platform Mobile App:
A Flutter-based application designed for ride-hailing services, consisting of a User App and a Driver App.
This app was uploaded to the Play Store in 2022 and was actively used in my local town in KZN. As a cross-platform application, it works seamlessly on both Android and iOS devices.
Technologies Used:
Dart & Flutter – For cross-platform development.
Firebase – For authentication and real-time database management.
Push Notifications – To send ride requests to drivers.
Google Maps API – For location-based services and navigation.

Mobile App built using Java and Android Studio IDE:
The app use APIs to collect international trending news and categories them in different tabs.
It has home tab, technology tap, sport tap act.

The website allows anonymous users as well as authenticated users to be able to view current and historical COVID-19 data,
as well as COVID-19 test data and statistics.
The application make provision for three user roles: Admin, Data Capturer and Lab Technician.
Each user has different access user role.
